Mod Loaders

Before installing mods, you need a mod loader:

Forge

• Most popular, widest mod compatibility
• Download at files.minecraftforge.net
• Stable and well-supported

Fabric

• Lighter, faster than Forge
• Great for performance mods and newer content mods
• Growing ecosystem

Note: Mods are loader-specific. Forge mods don't work on Fabric and vice versa.

How to Install Mods (Forge)

1. Install Java 17 or 21
2. Run Forge installer, select "Install Client"
3. Open Minecraft Launcher → new profile with Forge version
4. Open %appdata%/.minecraft/mods/ folder
5. Drop .jar mod files in the folder
6. Launch with Forge profile
