Minecraft Mod Guide — Best Mods and How to Install Them
Mod Loaders
Before installing mods, you need a mod loader:
Forge
- Most popular, widest mod compatibility
- Download at files.minecraftforge.net
- Stable and well-supported
Fabric
- Lighter, faster than Forge
- Great for performance mods and newer content mods
- Growing ecosystem
Note: Mods are loader-specific. Forge mods don't work on Fabric and vice versa.
