Minecraft Nether and End Guide — How to Beat the Game

The Nether

How to Enter

Build a Nether Portal: 4×5 frame of obsidian (10 obsidian minimum), ignite with flint and steel.

Nether Dangers

• Lava lakes everywhere — don't fall in
• Ghasts shoot fireballs — deflect with sword
• Fall damage is deadly — build carefully
• Fire Resistance potion strongly recommended

Nether Resources

Nether Fortress

Required for end-game progression. Contains:

• Blaze spawners (drop Blaze Rods)
• Nether Wart gardens
• Loot chests

Brewing (Required for End)

Brewing Stand requires: 1 Blaze Rod + 3 Cobblestone

Essential Potions:

Potion	Recipe	Use
Fire Resistance	Nether Wart + Magma Cream	Survive lava/Nether
Strength	Nether Wart + Blaze Powder	+130% melee damage
Slowness (Splash)	Nether Wart + Sugar + Fermented Spider Eye	Slow mobs

Finding the End Portal

1. Craft Eyes of Ender: Blaze Powder + Ender Pearl
2. Throw an Eye of Ender — it flies toward the nearest stronghold
3. Follow direction, dig straight down when it falls straight
4. Find the End Portal room in the stronghold
5. Fill all 12 portal frames with Eyes of Ender

The End

Ender Dragon Fight

1. Scan for and destroy all End Crystals on obsidian pillars (they heal the dragon)
2. Use bow to shoot crystals from distance
3. Crystals in iron cages — place ladders to climb up and break directly
4. Once all crystals destroyed, attack dragon when it perches on fountain
5. Bow shots work well when it's flying

After the Dragon

• Exit Portal appears: Return to overworld
• End Cities accessible via secondary portals: Contain Elytra (wings) and Shulker Boxes

Elytra (Wings)

Found in End Ships (attached to End Cities). The most valuable item in the game for mobility. Combine with Fireworks for rocket-propelled flight.
