How Transformations Work
When you add an ingredient to a product that already has a specific effect, the ingredient doesn't just add its default effect — it transforms the existing effect into something new.
This is the system that enables powerful multi-effect combinations not achievable through simple stacking.

Building Effect Chains
Example: Energizing → Thought-Provoking → Gingeritis
- Start: Base product
- Add Cuke → Energizing
- Add Flu Medicine → Thought-Provoking (Energizing transformed)
- Add Banana → Gingeritis (Thought-Provoking transformed)
- Net result: Gingeritis only (plus any untransformed effects)
To keep Energizing + Thought-Provoking, add Flu Medicine first, then Cuke:
- Add Flu Medicine → Thought-Provoking
- Add Cuke → Energizing (new slot, not transformation)
- Result: Thought-Provoking + Energizing ✓
Order Matters
Ingredient order changes the final product. Always establish a fixed sequence for your recipes and document it.
Testing New Chains
- Start with 3-unit batches
- Record the exact ingredient sequence
- Check the effects panel after each addition
- Scale up only after confirming the chain works
